Construction of mini CHP is planned In Syktyvkar
Construction of mini CHP is planned In Syktyvkar. It was told in branch office of JSC "TGK-9" "Komi". At the moment company develops an investment project for construction of CHP near Syktyvkar Central boiler-house. CHP will enter to already existing heating circuit.
Let's remind, that CHPs are already constructed in Vorkuta, Inta and Sosnogorsk. Now the capital of Komi Republic is heated with help of Central boiler-house, which is a part of " Syktyvkar heating networks" company. The new CHP will produce not only heat, but also electric power. Electric capacity will make 24 MW and thermal - 58 MW. For comparison capacity of Vorkuta CHP - 1 makes 25 MW, Inta CHP - 18 MW.
Combined cycle is chosen not casually. Syktyvkar quickly develops and annual increasing of heat and electricity production is needed. Besides that, technical policy of RAO "UES of Russia" provides priority for construction of combined cycle power units. This type of generation units is more economically and financially stable. Besides the electric power produced on new CHP, will cover part of energy deficiency in southern part of the republic of Komi.
Estimated cost of the project will be 500-700 million rubles. Pay back time of CHP will make 4 years; it can operate more than 30 years.
Project feasibility report is now developed. It is planned, that documents will be ready in July. Committee of directors will decide, due to what means the CHP will be constructed: investments of RAO "UES of Russia" or bank loan. 1,5-2 years is required for construction of CHP.
