The program of privatization of the state property of Republic Karelia for 2006 is approved

On August 22 members of the Government of Karelia under presidency of the Prime minister of republic Mr. Pavel Chernov have ratified the program of privatization of the state property for 2006.

The program includes 8 state unitary enterprises which is planned to reorganize to the joint stock kompanies. At the first stage 100% of shares of all enterprises included in the program will remain state property. In the future, depending on results of economic activities, share holdings can be sold.

Among these enterprises are: State farm "Vedlozerskij", State farm "Tolvujskij", State farm "Agrarian", Agricultural company "Vidlitsa", State Unitary Enterprise of the RK on reproduction and realizations of domestic animals "Karelian", Seed-growing station in Olonets, "Sortsemovosch" and Suojarvi regional printing plant. Besides that, the 20,79 % state share of the authorized capital of JSC «Karelian granite» is included in the program of privatization for the next year.

This process will not affect the sizes of the grants, allocated to state farms by the republican budget. Market price of above mentioned companies will be determined by independent appraisers.
