Inhabitants of Karelia pay 91 % of bills for municipal services
Problem of debts on wages for workers of housing and communal services is solved In Karelia. The first deputy head of Republican Committee on Reforming of Housing and Communal Services Mr. Avram Skljarsky declared it, acting in Monday, on September 26, at the meeting in the local government.
As Mr. Skljarsky has told now the debts on a payment of wages for workers of housing and communal services does not exceed monthly charge, and the period of the delayed payments makes 0,2 months. So by the end of summer the total sum of salary debts to workers of housing and communal services of the republic was estimated to be 76 million rubles as monthly average payments come up to 87 million.
As the first deputy head of committee has noted, the decision of a problem of debts in many respects was promoted by the balanced tariff policy of republican and municipal authorities, and also activation of bill collection work with the citizens who are not paying the bills in time. It is enough to tell, that from the beginning of the year 9,4 thousand claims on non-payments of bills for the services of housing and communal services and about 40 claims on eviction of malicious defaulters have been sent to courts of Karelia. As a result, nowadays the Republic of Karelia is on the first place in payment of municipal services by the population, among the regions of Northwest federal district. Inhabitants of Karelia pay 91 percent of the displayed bills.
